Student Sponsorship and Recruiting OpportunitiesGraduate Student Sponsorship
Each member’s dues contribute directly to the support of graduate students at the M.S. and Ph.D. levels engaged in research within the Center’s research portfolio. At semiannual meetings, an opportunity for direct interaction with students is promoted as students and faculty present updates on projects and research results through oral and poster presentations. Through the role of Project Monitor, companies have direct interaction with students and their supervising faculty over the course of the term of a project.
Undergraduate Student Sponsorship
It is the intent of the Center to provide opportunities for undergraduates to participate in the research activities of the Center. Based on successful models at other IUCRCs, an Undergraduate Fellowship Program is available to companies as a means to support undergraduate involvement in Center research during the summer and/or academic year. This program will serve to stimulate undergraduates both to explore careers in biometrics and to attend graduate school and conduct research in connection with CITeR.
